The Inception of RRF

During my healing period, about a year after my domestic violence incident, I started listening to podcasts where women were telling their stories about their abusive relationships with men. In every single story I hear the words "red flags". I'm thinking, "What the hell? What are we doing, ignoring them? Allowing ourselves to be drawn into a relationship that could potentially harm or even kill us?Are you kidding me?"

We've Got To Be Smarter Than This!

And then I knew.

I had to do something. How? What?

A nonprofit foundation for women, to educate, inform and empower.

We cannot waste any more time or any more lives just because we are not paying attention to the signs, The Red Flags!

Do WHAT with the Red Flags? Pay Attention? Watch Out For? Notice?

One day the perfect word dropped into my mind: respect.

I remembered my therapist telling me that my body deserved respect and I should listen

and pay attention to it during my healing.

And that's how Respect Red Flags was born.
